“Teacher, look what I made!”“Teacher, can you help me?”“Teacher, I have something to tell you!”For a preschool child, a teacher can become much more than someone who teaches letters, numbers or rhymes.A teacher may be the person who listens to their first long story, celebrates their first drawing, helps them make a friend or encourages them to try something they were afraid to do.That is why Teachers’ Day is especially meaningful during the early years. In India, Teachers’ Day is celebrated on 5 September, the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
