Janmashtami is the festival of Lord Krishna's Birth, and seeing child dressed in that Krishna's attire is just adorable. Krishna was born to Devaki, but Yashoda did his upbringing and nurturing.

One of the parents of Shanti Juniors recently referred to a teacher as Yashoda. Yes, You might sound this exaggerated to call a teacher Yashoda.

But when we realise it in today's era, we find it the perfect metaphor. If you see it broadly,  the teachers are the key instrumental in providing the holistic nurturing to the child. The curriculum, schedule, props, books, preschool aids and toys, and play area - She embeds & sequences everything with her skills and innovation to create the decorum of learning for that child. During their preschool time, They take care of their tantrums, nature calls, food timings, concept teaching, learning schedule, activities, uniforms, etiquettes, academic progress, Field trips etc. Once the children leave home, they start preparing the crafts and concepts for the next day's learning. They try their best to dramatise the concepts for them. That's how a child learns with visual memory and experiential learning to memorise it for the rest of their lives.

Teachers dance, sing, express and live in each child's soul. They do whatever it takes so a child can celebrate its childhood. On the occasion of this Janmashtami, when we talk about Krishna in every child, we should also remember that there is always a Yashoda constantly working behind that child.

No wonder we always hear the teacher referring as "Mere Bacche" in every conversation.

Tribute to all those Yashodas (Teachers) at Shanti Juniors.
