H1N1 or Swine Flu (as it is more popularly known as) has been a cause of worry among Indian parents since a few years now. There have been more swine flu cases and deaths in first four months of 2017 in India then all of 2016. As we all know, our Juniors are vulnerable to infections and hence need more protection. In light of the current health issues that toddlers are facing in India, it will be wise to protect our Juniors from these disease. Swine Flu was a new strain of influenza (flu) that made its debut in the spring of 2009 and reached its peak in late 2009 and early 2010. With the advances in Flu vaccines, now swine flu is more like seasonal flu. It is a viral infection that affects respiratory system (nose, lungs, and throat). Children under the age of 5 years and pregnant women fall in high risk zone for contracting swine flu.

If your toddler show any of the below given Signs for more than a week then you should immediately be checking up with a good paediatric.

Your child can catch the virus by coming into contact with a person who’s infected (especially if that person sneezes or coughs on your little one) or by touching something like a tissue or toy that someone with swine flu has touched.
